I enjoyed my stay at the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter, primarily due to its fantastic location near Petco Park and various dining options. The room was spacious and equipped with a good workspace, but I noticed that the bathroom was a bit dated. The gym had limited equipment, and the Wi-Fi charges felt excessive. Overall, it was a pleasant visit, though the space could use some improvements.
Rooms
8.0
The room was nice and spacious, featuring a king bed, ample work surface, and good views of the city. However, the bathroom felt outdated with older plumbing.
Service
5.0
While the staff was pleasant, the customer service could improve. I did notice some staff shortages during my stay, which affected the check-in process.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is one of its best features, right in the Gaslamp district, making it easy to explore local attractions. Though, it did get noisy at night.
Dining
6.0
The breakfast was decent with local and seasonal products. But it left much to be desired due to limited choices and service that seemed to fall short at times.
Facilities

Facilities were adequate with room service and housekeeping services. yet, the gym was somewhat small with older equipment that could use updates.

My stay at the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter was a mixed bag. The location was excellent, just a short walk to the bustling Gaslamp district and close to Petco Park. However, the room I had needed some serious updates and cleaning. On the bright side, the rooftop bar offered a great vibe for drinks and morning coffee, but there were some maintenance issues that I couldn’t overlook.
Rooms
5.0
My room was spacious, but it definitely felt outdated. I encountered a clogged sink and had issues with the shower draining. Plus, the bed was springy and didn’t provide the comfort I expect from a Marriott.
Service
8.0
The service at the front desk was a highlight, especially Kaitlyn, who was always friendly and eager to help out. She really made an effort to enhance my stay, which I appreciated a lot.
Location

The location was perfect, within walking distance to all the great restaurants and attractions. I loved being able to stroll around the Gaslamp district and enjoy everything it offers.
Dining

Breakfast was decent with a good selection of hot and cold items. The Starbucks coffee was a nice touch, plus I enjoyed the lounge's view of the ocean and Petco Park.
Facilities
6.0
The rooftop bar was definitely a fantastic place to unwind. However, I had some hiccups with room service and did find the delivery fees rather steep. Overall, it would be nice to see more attention to room maintenance.

I recently stayed at the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter for two nights and had a fantastic time overall. The location is just perfect—right across from Petco Park and close to my favorite restaurants like Meze Greek Fusion. The staff was super friendly, and the view from my room on the 19th floor was amazing. However, I did run into a few issues with a noisy toilet and some outdated furniture, which took away from the experience a bit.
Rooms
6.0
I had a room with stunning views of Petco Park, but the mattress was soft and saggy, which was disappointing. Plus, the toilet was really loud at night, making it hard to sleep.
Service
9.0
The staff was excellent, from the front desk to the valet service. They made me feel welcome and were always eager to help, especially Front Desk Manager Kaitlyn, who stood out with her great customer service.

The location is unbeatable! It’s right in the heart of the Gaslamp district, across from Petco Park, making it perfect for catching a game or exploring local eateries and bars.
Dining

I enjoyed the rooftop bar with its amazing views; however, the food options could’ve been better—like running out of bowls for cereal at breakfast.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had solid amenities like valet parking, but I missed having a fridge in my room. The facilities were clean, but the elevators were a hassle to deal with.

During my recent stay, I appreciated the friendly service and prime location in the Gaslamp Quarter. Though the room upgrade was a nice surprise, some aspects like the TV placement and lack of daily housekeeping could use improvement. Overall, I enjoyed my visit, but there are details that could enhance the experience further.
Rooms

My room was a good size with a nice view, but the TV was low, making it hard to watch comfortably from bed.

I found the amenities standard for a city hotel, but the lack of daily housekeeping was an adjustment.

I truly enjoyed my stay at the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter, thanks to its fantastic location right next to Petco Park and other attractions. While the room was clean and spacious, I did find the walls a bit thin, which made for some noisy nights. The rooftop bar offered stunning views, but I wish there was a pool to enjoy as well. Overall, it was a solid stay with friendly staff, but there were a few drawbacks.
Rooms

The room was spacious and clean, with plenty of outlets for my devices. However, I noticed the walls were quite thin, making it hard to get a good night's sleep at times.
Service

The staff was generally friendly and responsive, especially via the app, though my check-in experience felt a bit rushed and lacking in personal touch.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is ideal—very central to dining, shopping, and the ballpark, making it super convenient for exploring the area.
Dining

The dining options included a basic breakfast offering, which was okay, but nothing lovely. I would have liked to see more variety.
Facilities

The gym was well-equipped, but I missed having a pool. The rooftop bar is a nice spot but can be busy, limiting access during peak times.
